Face Patches vs. Face Masks

I believe in our products and the mission behind Dermaclara. To be as sure as I am about what we produce requires knowing the skincare arena, testing new products, tracking skincare fads, and forever working on my skincare education. New skincare routines appear and circulate almost daily.

Because of this, people often pose the question–what is the difference between our face patches and regular face masks. Well, the difference is vast, and the answer is complicated.

Getting Past the Surface Level

Dermaclara silicone face patches are clinically proven to be the most effective way to deliver moisture to your skin. Our patches tighten fine lines and reduce wrinkles by preventing water loss and boosting collagen and elastin.

They seal in a microclimate that naturally pulls moisture up through all layers of your skin. This means you aren’t applying any foreign chemicals or topical ointments. You are using what is already there, boosting it, and using it to increase collagen and elastin. The result is the safest, most effective way to bring back supple, vibrant skin.

Face masks are often a topical treatment, and the reality is the molecular size of the ingredients in these masks are far too large to penetrate the first layer of skin. They cannot reach the second layer of the skin, the dermis, where stretch marks are. When we apply face masks, we only prevent our skin from drying out; we are not treating the damage.

In comparison, the microclimate created by our silicon patches hyper-hydrates your skin from top to bottom. The dermis fully receives the moisture and collagen it needs to heal stretch marks and tighten up the skin.

Re-Dermaclara

As the founder, I know that a reusable product that delivers long-lasting, noticeable results is what we deserve. Dermaclara face patches can be reused for 15 to 30 uses. All you need to do is gently remove the patches, clean them with our Patch Prep, let them air dry, and reapply them to the backing card. Sadly, face masks are often single-use, and the results are minute and don’t last. One additional perk for our face patches, they are specially designed, small yet sizeable, so that you can place them anywhere you need a boost.

Similarities?

The only similarity between patches and face masks is the time you spend with them on your skin, 15 - 20 minutes.

Conclusion

Our face patches are very different than face masks! Our patches moisturize your skin thoroughly, reaching deep into the dermis to help heal damage. They are dermatologist-recommended, non-invasive, chemical-free, reusable, and ready to fit wherever you need to see change. Dermaclara face patches are far superior and more effective compared to face masks, but that’s just my humble opinion.
