Summer time was made for barbecues - warm weather, vacation, and long summer hours. But don't host the same boring barbecue as everyone else on the block. With our tips, you can have a BBQ that your friends will be talking about for summers to come!
1. Make it vegan. You mean don't serve any meat at all? Yes! With the increase in people adopting a vegan or vegetarian lifestyle - in addition to more high quality fake "meats" on the market - holding a meatless BBQ isn't out of the question. Add some veggie skewers, and you'll have a filling, fun, and good-for-you BBQ.
2. Add ambiance and dusk. Who said BBQs have to be during the day? Have a BBQ full of ambiance and mood by holding it at dusk. Then, add market lights, faux tea lights, and you have a sexy BBQ!
3.Give it a theme: A BBQ with a theme is a BBQ with a personality. Celebrate any number of things: midsummer, a favorite sports team winning (and ask attendees to wear the team's jerseys), "champagne & hot dogs," or all one gender. There are a multitude of themes you can decorate your BBQ with, so let your imagination run wild!
4. Seafood, eat food. Add a crawfish boil to your standard BBQ, and you'll be adding a whole new dimension to your shindig. Other options include adding wild-caught salmon or tuna tartare to the menu.
