Fun Fall Kids’ ActivitiesOct 06, 2017
Autumn is a fun time of year. The air becomes cool and crisp, and the entire landscape changes with greens and blues turning to reds and golds. It's also a fun time to put some kid-friendly activities on your calendar that are perfect for this post-summer time of year!
1. Make an Apple Stamp
Arts and crafts days are far more fun when fall's favorite fruit is involved! Allow your kids to exercise their optimal creative freedom by decorating their lunch bags.
2. Bob for Apples
Some old-timey traditions have stuck around for a long time... and for good reason! Bobbing for apples is a sure-fire way to get some giggles out of your little ones!
3. Go to the Zoo
The zoo is a magical place when autumn settles in. When the temperatures cool down, you may have an opportunity to see some of the animals who would otherwise be hiding when the sun is blazing hot. As an added bonus, it's far more comfortable to walk around when you're not sweating all day!
4. Make Pumpkin Bars
Pumpkin is another fall favorite, and kids love to help out in the kitchen!
5. Create Pine Cone Birds
With a little glue, some googly eyes, and a handful of craft store feathers, you can turn one of fall's most notable items into a fun mantlepiece!
6. Craft Toilet Paper Owls
For some reason, hooty-hoos seems to represent fall time. With this DIY craft idea, you can turn simple household toilet paper rolls into fun play pals that will keep a watchful eye over your little ones. If you're looking for a few more oohs and ahhs, go for giant googly eyes!
7. Take a Long Drive & Picnic at the End
Falls foliage is incredible. Take advantage of this special time of year by driving through scenic routes you may not otherwise travel. Be sure to have a spot in mind where you can roll out a blanket and plop down for an autumn-inspired picnic!
